Salary: Authority Band 10 ($115,830 or $120,471)

Status: Full-Time, Term (21 Months) - Unionized  

Work environment: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days WFH)

WHATS THE TEAM LIKE 

The Ground Transportation & Parking team at Calgary Airports keeps airport access smooth and efficient by managing curbside operations, parking facilities, rental car operations, and commercial transportation services. Our work ensures a safe, convenient experience for travelers while driving revenue and supporting operational excellence. The team plays a vital role in Calgary Airports success and reputation for world-class service. 

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES   

  • Collaborate with the General Manager to identify and develop new revenue-generating service opportunities, while proactively engaging with potential partners in Parking and Ground Transportation. 

  • Negotiate new and renewal contracts for Ground Transportation and Parking in alignment with established pricing strategies.  

  • Partner with parking sales to expand corporate sales strategies and capture new revenue streams.  

  • Lead and manage projects designed to maximize revenue, including drafting and overseeing revenue-related RFPs and EOIs.  

  • Lead a contract negotiation and RFP process as well as space reallocation project with rental car operators.  

  • Analyze customer service needs and implement innovative solutions to enhance the traveler experience.  

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and execute parking promotions and support related events.  

  • Provide backup support to the Ground Transportation and Parking Operations Manager and operations team as needed. 

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • 6 to 8 years’ experience in a Business Development or sales focused role that drove revenue. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, or a related field is required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. 

  •  Experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and agreements, with a focus on maximizing revenue opportunities.  

  • Demonstrated success in revenue contract management and project oversight that aligns with and advances organizational strategy. 

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET 

  • Bilingual in English and French 

  • Understanding of airport operations relative to Ground Transportation and Parking to drive revenue initiatives. 

  • Legal acumen with the ability to work effectively with the Calgary Airports Legal team to negotiate contracts, mitigate risk, and support profitability.
