WHAT’S THE TEAM LIKE
The Infrastructure Team is a dynamic and collaborative team responsible for designing and building everything at both Calgary International and Springbank Airports. We take pride in delivering high-quality projects that shape the airport experience, and we do it in a fast-paced, engaging environment. While we’re serious about our work, we also know how to have fun. We have a social, supportive team where collaboration and camaraderie are key.
WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate all phases of airport terminal redevelopment projects including planning, design, construction, testing, commissioning and turnover.
- Collaborate across Infrastructure leadership team to align medium- and long-term planning with organizational strategy.
- Negotiate with contractors and consultants and oversee development of contracts, specifications, studies, simulations, schedules, and cost estimates to ensure compliance and value delivery.
- Direct project execution to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage annual program budgets and cash flows, approving progress payments as required.
- Maintain high standards of quality assurance, risk management, and value engineering.
- Serve as Calgary Airports’ primary representative with regulatory agencies, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and third-party inspectors, ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, or related field is required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- 8–10 years of experience in engineering or project management with large, complex, construction projects.
- Minimum 3–5 years of people leadership experience is required.
- Professional designation such as PMP, P.Eng, AAA, or P.Tech required.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple high-value projects with competing priorities.
- Proven track record of success in business planning, work planning, operational management and execution of strategic initiatives.
- As this position is considered safety-sensitive, candidates must successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing as part of the hiring process.
- This role includes driving as part of its duties; therefore, candidates will be required to provide a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a current driver’s abstract as part of the hiring process.
WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET
- Graduate education (master’s degree, MBA, MPA etc.)
- Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Change Management, or People Leadership
- Bilingual in English and French
