WHATS THE TEAM LIKE

The Airport Systems team is responsible for the day-to-day reliability and performance of the technology that passengers, airlines, and airport partners rely on across the airport.

This team supports a diverse portfolio of systems that touch the passenger journey end‑to‑end across the airport. These include, but are not limited to, parking, self check‑in technologies (CUPPS and CUSSK), video management systems, digital signage, public address (PA) systems, video docking guidance systems, and the Resource Management System (RMS). These platforms are highly visible and critical to maintaining safe, efficient, and on‑schedule airport operations.

The team works closely with internal airport operations, airline partners, vendors, and contractors to support live operations, respond to system issues, and deliver system upgrades and improvements. Work is fast paced and operationally focused, with a strong emphasis on reliability, clear communication, and collaboration in a 24/7 airport environment.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Manage a defined portfolio of airport systems, becoming the subject matter expert for assigned technologies.
  • Support day-to-day operations of passenger facing systems, including troubleshooting, incident response, and coordination of issue resolution for escalations.
  • Work closely with vendors and contractors to manage system maintenance, upgrades, and service delivery.
  • Support projects related to system enhancements, replacements, and new technology implementations.
  • Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Participate in incident management during system outages, communicating effectively with internal stakeholders under time sensitive conditions.
  • Maintain system documentation, standards, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT and airport operations teams to ensure systems align with operational & business needs.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting IT systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise or operational systems, their dependencies, and hands on components.
  • Proven technical troubleshooting skills, including the ability to assess system interrelationships and downstream impacts.
  • Experience supporting system integrations and evaluating the operational impact of changes or outages.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems architecture, system lifecycle management, and change management principles.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical documentation, diagrams, and IT specifications.
  • Hands on experience supporting hardware based systems, detailed access control, cameras or physical security. 
  • Proven experience working with vendors and external service providers.
  • Experience supporting projects, system upgrades, or technology implementations.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations, including system outages impacting operations.

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET

  • Bilingual in English and French
  • Previous experience working in an airport environment or with airport operations and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting technology within a transportation, critical infrastructure, or other 24/7 operational environment.
  • Familiarity with passenger facing, safety critical, or mission critical systems.
  • Understanding of airport security or regulated operational environments.
