WHAT’S THE TEAM LIKE

You’ll join the Commercial Marketing and Partnerships team which is responsible for bringing sponsor, retail, and community partnerships to life across the airport. This successful candidate will have the opportunity to turn concepts into high-impact, in-terminal experiences that engage guests, deliver partner value, and support Calgary Airports commercial and brand objectives.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Execute in-terminal marketing activations after concepts and partnership details are finalized, including sponsor, retail, and community-led initiatives.
  • Coordinate activation logistics such as timelines, permits, vendor engagement, materials, displays, equipment, access requirements, and on-site setup.
  • Work with internal partners (Operations, Communications, Guest Experience, Development Services, and Legal) to ensure activations meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors, including display fabricators, photographers, videographers, and other contractors, to deliver approved activation assets and on-site content capture, adapting creative elements within approved brand and sponsor guidelines to fit physical and operational requirements.
  • Support contests, giveaways, and promotional programs by coordinating terms and conditions, signage, entry mechanics, random winner selection, prize fulfilment, and coordination with prize partners.
  • Track activation budgets and expenses, maintain required documentation, and support post-activation reporting.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING

  • 1 to 3 years of experience supporting or coordinating marketing activations, promotional programs, sponsorships, or similar initiatives.
  • Completion of a college diploma or 1–2-year post‑secondary program in marketing, hospitality, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple workstreams for live or physical activations, including vendors, materials, timelines, and onsite execution.
  • Experience working within established activation plans and agreements, translating approved concepts into fully executed in-market experiences.

WHAT ADDITIONAL SKILLS ARE AN ASSET

  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Experience executing activations in large, public, or high-traffic environments.
  • Experience coordinating with sponsor or partnership-driven initiatives.
